Notes on Crafting
A place to dump various notes on crafting items. Feel free to add any notes on stuff you've noticed with crafting items, or examples of great items you've made (along with epic fails )
From the FoA forums:
To craft an item you need
1) An item (normal item - white title)
2) Any jewel (save your good jewels for increasing items rather than crafting - the jewel has no effect on the craft so use crappy ones)
3) 2500 in gold - this gets returned to you after the craft
4) Resources, such as iron, gemstones, fish etc --- try not to mix too many different resources into one craft. Until you've had a few practices, stick with using iron for crafting.
The craft level of the item should ideally be 7+ You can get good results from lower craft levels but it's more of a gamble - use the 5 and 6 craft level items for practice/experimenting. If you don't want to craft a particular item you've found that has a craft level of 7+, hang onto it in your inventory until you can offer it to someone else who may be interested. The high craft levels give a greater chance for more and better prefixes.
